help & faq

How do I get a UniFi API key?

In unifi.ui.com → Settings → Control Plane → Integrations → API Key. A read-only key is fine, since we only read your network status.

Is my API key safe?

Your key is stored encrypted on your private, isolated dashboard instance and used only to read status from the official UniFi Cloud API. We never modify your network.

What data does the dashboard show?

WAN & ISP uptime and failover, device health and firmware, client counts (wired/wireless/guest), IPS mode and rule count, and TX-retry quality, across all your sites.

How do I sign in?

Your dashboard uses a single password, with no separate username. We email you the link and a temporary password the moment your dashboard is provisioned, and your first sign-in prompts you to set your own password.

How do I change my password?

Sign in and open account (top-right of your dashboard) to set a new password any time: current password, then your new one. Locked out? Email [email protected] and we'll reset it for you.

What can't it show?

Real-time bandwidth, gateway CPU/memory and the live IPS event log aren't available via the UniFi Cloud API. Those need on-site controller access.

How do I cancel?

Email [email protected] any time and we'll remove your instance.

Still stuck? Email [email protected] — we're happy to help.
